Last Thursday, we had YET another adventure in SoCal! We -- along with 2+ million of our "closest" friends in Orange County, San Diego, Arizona and Mexico -- experienced a blackout. It happened to be the hottest day of summer so far, which was not ideal, but we made it into a fun adventure!
Thomas was traveling with a co-worker in Utah, so his wife and kids joined us for supper. Then, we pulled out all the flashlights and candles, and I let the kids fall asleep in my bed. It was so sweet -- they held hands and Turner told Parker to "squeeze her hand" if he was scared or needed her.

The power ended up coming back on in the night, but Turner's school was cancelled for Friday because they did not think it would be back on in time. She cried. Glad she likes kindergarten sooo much! :)
