We had our very first visitor in So Cal! Aunt Niki came for a week!
It was so much fun to see her, and I am positive God planned the timing of her visit, because it was perfect. Turner started kindergarten the day Nik flew in, and the reality of my firstborn going to kindergarten and our crew moving clear across the country were just hitting.
Having Nicole really refocused my mind and got me excited about where we are and all the neat things we can do! I am so thankful for her. (Not to mention that she got my pictures hung and helped make our house a home!)

Here are some of the cool things we did:
- Paddleboarded in the Newport Beach Harbor
- Visited the Rainbow shoe factory in San Clemente
- Walked and played at San Clemente Beach and Pier (and saw a HUGE surf!)
- Ate at Ruby's on the pier at Huntington Beach
- Watched a breathtaking Pacific Ocean sunset and took a picnic to the beautiful Montage Hotel property on Laguna Beach
- Shopped and got makeovers
- Went to Saddleback Church and heard Rick Warren's vision for the next decade for his church
- Ate with some friends of friends -- a delicious southern BBQ meal! Felt right at home!
- Went to soccer and Turner's school
- Swam
- Met a "real" pirate, aka Nicole's high school friend, Isaac, who was in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie with Captain Jack Sparrow (Parker LOVED this!)
