The Irvine Regional Park

Turner had a couple days off school in mid November, so I took the kids to the Irvine Regional Park.  It was a lot of fun!   The highlights included:
- A ride on a train
- The Orange County zoo, AND
- Pony rides (Both kids LOVED this, and Turner even got to trot!)

Say No to Drugs

Turner was really proud, because her "Say No to Drugs" poster (which was repositioned as "Healthy Living" to the kindergartners) was selected to be displayed in the front office.  It is located on the middle right.

You can't see it too well, but she drew:
- A fruit bowl
- A bicycle and jogger
- Someone sleeping
- A good breakfast

The girl loves her some art, so it was an honor to get to show it off in the glass case!!!

Pink Strikers Soccer

Turner had a great soccer season here in SoCal!  Her team, The Pink Strikers, was undefeated!  She had so much fun and learned a lot.  Her awesome Assistant Coach and #1 fan brother had fun, too!

Pretend City

We went to a really neat birthday party last weekend!  A girl in Turner's class had her celebration at "Pretend City" in Irvine.  It is an ENTIRE pretend city, with everything from a police station, to a dentist office, farm, theater, grocery store, house, art studio, ATM, etc.  It was AWESOME!  And had I been a tad bit shorter, I'd have joined right in!

Sweet Boy!

My sweet little fella sang so beautifully at Community Bible Study the other week!  I was really proud of him and loved hearing such precious words come out of his mouth.

HHH Award

Turner won the "HHH Award" this past Friday!  "HHH" is an award where you are honored for one of these three things:

1.  A Head to Learn
2.  A Heart to Love
3.  Hands to Serve

Turner won it for a "Heart to Love," for being compassionate and always helping her friends at school.  As part of this honor, she got to go to the principal's office and get a popsicle!  She was so excited!

Halloween 2011

 My Fire Chief!!!
 Rapunzel!
The "Gang"

We had a fun Halloween this year.  The kids were a little under the weather, but they still enjoyed the few houses we visited and got PLENTY of candy!  Parker has worn his costume every day for 2-1/2 weeks (we got every last penny out of it!), and Turner insisted that Gammy and I dress up!
