The Slide!

Above is our neighborhood water slide. Which Turner LOVES! Seriously. She prayed for it last night and thanked God for creating it for her. :)

Turner went down no less than 15 times by herself. She wasn't about to be discouraged by the rules that read that you could not double up! Or by her blue lips and full body shivers.

Finally, the lifeguard said we could go with her, since she was spinning all different directions on her way down. Now, with my new workout regimen (up the steps, down the slide 1,000,000 times), who needs a stair stepper!

A random funny when we walked in the pool tonight and spotted a girl in a two piece: "Mom, look, she has on a zucchini!"

Also, Turner picked up a stick on the way to the pool this evening. I asked her what she was doing bringing a stick into the pool, to which she replied, "I'm picking up a stick in case we see a grandmother who needs help walking at the pool." (Who can protest that, right?!). Well, sure enough, we walk into the pool, and she struts right up to this "older" woman in a chair and hands it to her, explaining that she thought she might need a little help walking. Thanks! (I think).

Our Little Fish...

The sneak attack.
The recovery.
The reconciliation.

Well, the pool has finally opened and summer is officially underway. Our little Parker took his first dip this weekend, and as you can see, was FULLY indoctrinated (thanks to some extra "help" from Sissy).

Happy and Healthy

It was Turner's turn to get a good report at the doctor today. She had her 3-year well visit and is a healthy little horse. She even got a "surprise" shot, during which she bravely sang "Twinkle, Twinkle" and did not cry! (Now, she did cry when she found out that the doctor's treat was not what she wanted it to be, mind you... The girl has her priorities!). She's 30 lbs. and 37" tall. Since she's dying (literally, dying!) to ride in a booster seat, she was glad she only needed 10 more lbs. on her little body!

5 Months!

Here is Parker's "official" 5 month photo op! As you can clearly see, he is growing GOOD, AND he's a charmer! Some new milestones: laughing LOTS, rolling anywhere he wants to go, putting the paci in his mouth (yeah!), sleeping good, blowing a "mean" raspberry!

He's a keeper! Love you, Parker!

Five Months and Five Million Thank You's!

Parker turned five months yesterday, and today we got some great news! Thank you again and again for all the prayers and support you have given our family over the past months...

We met with the surgeon today, and she is "very pleased" with his progress. Parker's kidneys have both significantly improved since the surgery in January, and she is very hopeful he will not need further surgery. We will go back for tests in three months, and assuming things continue on this track, Parker will be good to go!

AMEN! Thank you again for ALL the love you have shown us! Prayers DO work!

Speaking of which, here is Turner's prayer over Parker this morning: "Dear God, be with Parker at the doctor. That he not be terrified or cry or anything and that he have good stuff to choose from, like lollipops and stuff...maybe for me. Amen."
