Two Random Funnies...

Today, on the way home from school, Turner was recounting her day:

"I told Jackie I was T-U-R-N-E-R. And she said, 'No, you're not. You're 'Turner.' I said, "No, Jackie, I am T-U-R-N-E-R."

At church in SC last Sunday (in a loud, excited voice, upon seeing a dear gentleman in the choir who has a patch covering one eye):
"Look, mom, there's a pirate in the choir today!"

Two Months Old!

Parker turned two months on February 17th! Here is his "official" photo.

He continues to grow and change weekly! He is smiling and babbling and starting to reach for things. He loves to be on his tummy and LOVES to be held.

Parker has had a rough two months' start to life, but we are excited to see him improve and begin feeling better. We cannot wait to see him grow and change as he becomes a little boy! And we cannot help but think of God's grace and answered prayers when we look at him.

Let the Children Come...

Turner loves her school here, and really loves her Bible teacher, Ms. Jean. Yesterday, she was so cute telling us what she learned. I asked her to do it on my camera so I could share the joy of hearing her tell the Gospel...in her own precious words!

Plus, hearing her say this reminds me that the laundry can wait, the dishes can wait and my long list of chores can wait -- I think I'll just enjoy the children.

Best Buds

Turner and Madeline

Turner and her "main man" Abram

Turner, Abby and Cate Lynn

Turner had a ball with all her precious buddies in SC! We are so blessed to have such special friends in our lives.

Abundant Blessings

Well, we took our first road trip to SC this past week. And we survived! It was a wonderful trip, packed with family and friends and good times. It was also a reminder of the abundant blessings we have.

The trip started on Monday, February 17th. Parker had a follow up appointment with the pediatric urologist and received a great report. His surgery went well, and the doctor said things were moving in the right direction with his bladder and hydronephrosis. She saw some improvement in both kidneys, and she feels hopeful that if things continue on this track, he may not need further surgeries! We will pray to that end!

Thomas was at a meeting in California and hated to be away. But Helen Heron, a sweet, sweet friend flew to Atlanta and rode MARTA all they way to the hospital, so she could ride back to SC with us. Beth Figaretti, another angel in our lives, took Turner to the zoo during Parker's appointment, so we could just pick her up on the way out of town.

The ride home was really perfect. It took 7-1/2 hours (normal for us is 5-1/2), but it truly could not have gone more smooth.

We had a packed week -- visiting with friends and family -- and Turner and I both were really rejuvenated after spending time with so many people we love. Parker charmed everybody and had a great week overall!

We love you all and thank you for loving us so good!

Turner's First Valentine

A happy toast to Turner's FIRST Valentine! Here is what she dictated for his card today:

"Things I love about my Daddy: Hugging him, Bapping him and Tackling him. I love you, Turner."

That pretty much sums it up! Mr. Right has a lot to live up to!

Sweet Girls (and boy!)

We saw some of our dear friends, The Turnages, today! It was so good to see Catherine and Elizabeth and how much they had grown. Turner was proud to introduce her baby brother, too.

After a nice visit, we headed to the North Dekalb Mall to let our Daddy serve us some fresh, hot chicken! Yum! Turner was so impressed he was behind the register when we got up to order!
