Fishing...

At Turner's preschool, there are some amazing fisher women, who are doing an awesome job creating little disciples. I shot this video at breakfast Friday morning, after asking Turner what her Bible lesson of the week was. It blew me away!

So, all you teachers out there...THANK YOU. These little guppies get it, and they are listening!

Anatomy 101

Thomas and I were out with the kids on a family jog the other evening. I was telling Turner about the different names we almost named her, and she said, "Mom, how did you know I was going to be a girl?"

I said, "Because the doctors took a picture of you in my tummy before you were born and told me you were a girl."

"But, how did they know?"

My mind was racing (faster than my legs!), and I decided to turn the question back on her, "Well, what is the difference between you and Parker?"

She thought for a minute, and then replied, "Ohhhh...I know! He has a caterpillar, and I have a potato!"

Thomas and I looked at each other, held back our laughter and simply said, "Yeah, honey, that's a good way to put it."

ABC Jam Fest!

This reminds me of a funniest home video I once saw, so I had to post it! Poor kid keeps right on dancing! He gets an A+ for effort and endurance!

Dying Easter eggs

HE IS RISEN!

He is Risen, indeed! We had a truly wonderful Resurrection celebration this year! And it seems that all of nature tuned in for it -- the crab apple trees, pear trees and azaleas burst with color and new life, and the sunshine and warm weather showed up just in time.

The kids enjoyed several Easter egg hunts this year, a Journey to the Tomb event at church with some dear friends and a fun lunch at Mrs. Veronica's home...complete with a pinata!

Easter week continued with wonderful visits with both sets of grandparents and reminders of the blessing of family.

Family Fun

Lazy River
Beach Beauty

Check out the curls in these beach pictures!

Dunes

We had a really fun family getaway this past week! We took the kids to Myrtle Beach to a hotel with a full indoor water park on the first floor. It was a wonderful, special time.

Turner took no time to grow her fins and take off, and her only disappointment was that she could not go on the adult (super scary, even to Thomas and me) slide. She swam her heart out and loved the lazy river and big kid slide. Parker had a ball, too!

Grandy's Hotel

Last week, we had the privilege of staying at my Grandmother's retirement home for a visit. Grandma arranged for Turner, Parker and me to spend the night in a guest apartment! It was so fun and special, and the kids could not have been better behaved.
According to the family with which Turner carpools to school, staying in "Grandy's hotel was so neat! Every lady had a pretty wreath on her door...with flowers and beautiful little leaves..."

Parker was truly tickled with Grandy's rendition of "creep mouse," and Turner enjoyed coloring Easter pictures and taking her out to their favorite spot for breakfast-supper: IHOP.

We are so thankful for our Grandy!
