Spring Fever

The weather the past two days has been absolutely amazing! And we've enjoyed being outside in it. The birds are singing, there is an extra skip in everyone's steps, and as Turner says, all the flowers have "hatched!" Needless to say, we've got ourselves a bad case of spring fever around here! :)
Yesterday, we took a picnic to the library playground. It was wonderful, and Turner enjoyed sharing her pb&j with the hungry geese! She kept a safe distance, though, because they were "a little grouchy."

Jammin' at Moe's!

Turner loves life and finds fun wherever we go. This Thursday night, Thomas had to work late, so Turner, Parker and I went to Moe's (her choice!). We were about the only people in there, and who can resist some Jimmy Hendrix? Check out Turner's jam session!

Jumpin' Jellybeans

Daddy had to work "mall" hours today, which meant he was home with the gang for the morning. It was truly a wonderful family morning!

We took Turner and Parker to Jumpin' Jellybeans, a local indoor jump castle paradise. It was such a joy to hear Turner's giggles and see her delight. After all, she had TWO adults to boss around and go down the big slide with!

Parker dug the white noise of the air blowers and caught some beauty rest while we were there!

Bedtime Stories

Turner is always looking out for her little brother (and looking for a way to stall her bedtime), and tonight she informed me that Parker needed to have his OWN story time before her story time.

So...we picked a special book for him and all piled into the glider to read it! It was actually really sweet and fun -- stall and all!

Smiles on Signing Day!

Today was signing day for the Florida Gators, and to show his true team spirit, Parker dressed the part! And he had a few smiles for the Guerard team, too!

Bloom where you are planted

Turner asked me to fill up her watering can this morning, and I let her out on the porch to water the parched boxwoods by the front door (they come after the husband, two kids and cat!).

A few minutes passed, and I looked out to find her in the backyard tending to our daffodils. She watered every one of them and was quite proud to have "fed" them, so they could grow "big and strong."

Super Fun Superbowl

Turner and Avery sporting their team colors!
Parker and Anna hanging out!

We had a wonderful time with our friends, the McFaddins, tonight. We went to their house and enjoyed a delicious Superbowl spread, complete with ribs and great fellowship. The kids had a ball, too! We're blessed with some good new friends in Atlanta.
